About Us
CarbonCQ is a specialist Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Project Developer and Consultancy
CarbonCQ was formed in 2021 to pursue CCS project development activities and consulting opportunities
CarbonCQ has a diverse team drawn from the geoscience, engineering, commercial, regulatory and corporate finance disciplines. Together we have the expertise to identify, appraise and develop CCS opportunities from both a technical and commercial perspective, while navigating the regulatory and stakeholder management complexities of CCS project delivery
We recognize that the creation of CCS hubs is essential to allow some hard-to-abate industrial sectors to decarbonize. CCS plays a critical role in carbon abatement and without it, net zero targets cannot be achieved
Our team members have first-hand experience in managing CCS projects in Australia, including the South West Hub CCS Project in Western Australia and the CO2CRC Otway project in Victoria
Our Mission
Our mission is to identify, appraise and develop CCS hub opportunities that have a real impact on industrial decarbonisation efforts.
CarbonCQ takes a collaborative approach to CCS business development, recognizing that cooperation between emitters, developers and infrastructure owners is key to drive down emissions aggregation, treatment, transportation and sequestration costs. We seek to develop strategic partnerships to ensure that we can bring in the necessary expertise, resources and funding capabilities as required to optimise the project delivery pathway.
Our Vision
CarbonCQ aspires to be a leader in the development of common-user CCS Hubs that provide decarbonisation options to hard-to-abate industrial sectors at an affordable CO2 disposal cost
